One of the reasons that Caribbean cruise vacations are so popular, is because of the weather, and you can bet that it is going to be warm just about all year round. The snowbirds love booking their cruise vacations for the winter just for this reason alone, because it is going to be a lot better than the cold that they are used to back home. So with that being said, where exactly do Caribbean cruises go to?
Well there are two ports located in Mexico, those are Cancun and Cozumel, where you are sure to have a great time in these wonderful vacation atmospheres. Other ports of call in the western carribean are Jamaica, Dominican Republic and the Grand Cayman.
Some southern caribbean ports of call range from Trinidad, Barbados, and St Lucia. On the eastern side of the Caribbean you can expect to see ports from the Bahamas and Bermuda, as there are several ports that are accessed by cruise lines in these two tourist countries. You can also bet money that your cruise line is going to have Puerto Rico on the line up too, as well as St. Croix, along with other parts of the US and British Virgin Islands.
Of course there are more ports of call than this when we are talking about Caribbean cruise vacations, but it really all depends on what type of cruise line it is that you plan to book your trip with.
Some carribean cruises will have guided tours that will show you all of the best site-seeing upon arrival at the port of interest, while others will just give you a brochure and you can be off to venture on your own, whether you want to see the ports finest dining, hit up the hippest night club, or shop until your credit card is maxed out, whatever it is that your little heart desires on your cruise vacation.
One of the biggest Caribbean cruise lines around is the Royal Caribbean, though they are definitely not the cheapest, they seem to have the most variety of vacation packages available. Some others that are pretty big are Princess Cruises and of course Carnival.
Just remember there are nearly 100 ports of call in the Caribbean, so when you are sitting down planning your cruise vacation, make sure that you speak with a cruise planner and make sure that you are going to be reaching your port that you want to go to. Do not depend or rely on internet bookings that say you are going to be arriving at a specific port, the page may not be updated, and things can always change.
This is why it is so important to make sure that you talk to your cruise planner, or the person on the phone and make sure that you are going to arrive at your dream destination and make the most out of your cruise vacation.
